A typical summer night.

Not much is really new with us. Well, my hours were reduced at work to just one day per week, so I am busy trying to look for a new part time job or another part time job to work in addition to working just Friday's at my job. It is hard to find a decent part time job, but I am sure something will come eventually. In the mean time, we are just enjoying the summer and I am enjoying all this extra time I have with the kids. We have been to the zoo, parks, running lots of errands and scheduling a lot of play dates. We like to stay busy!

Bob is enjoying the summer and is getting a chance to play a lot more golf.

Lucas has learned a few more words and is good at going up and down stairs (with assistance). He has now discovered airplanes in the sky and is so interested when he sees one. He loves to wave and give high five and the boy can run and fast!

Addison is still obsessed with being a princess and playing with her princesses. We can tell that her memory is getting so good. She can remember where she put certain toys and events from the past. Unfortunately she has taken on a trait that she has gotten from me....she is scared of a lot of bugs. I am trying to work on this with her! Living by the woods she has had fun seeing a snake (yikes), turtle and a frog today (even though she is a little scared).

We are really just enjoying the summer! We pretty much spend every evening after dinner outside in the front yard and in the cul-de-sac with the neighbors. We pull all the toys out from the garage and the kids run around. They also like to go for walks and run through neighbors sprinklers a little (and sometimes get soaked).

Here are a few pictures from just a normal night outside.

Our Princess.

Addison would wear her princess dress 24 hours a day if I let her. She normally wears the pink one below but she actually let her friend Mackenzie wear it. She probably let her wear it since she brought ferry wings for her to wear with the dress.

These girls are great friends. Luckily Bob and I are great friends with her Mom and Dad (Tre and Julie).

And here is a picture of Lucas looking out the window.

Look at that...he is smiling at the camera! Lucas is now 14 months old!

Father's Day

We had a busy Father's day weekend but hopefully Bob would say it was great. Saturday Bob went golfing all day with his brother and Mom and I went to Tre and Julie's and took the kids swimming. Saturday night we went out with Tre and Julie for a birthday dinner for Bob and Tre since their birthdays are 1 week apart. We had a great night out with no kids and we even went bowling and stayed out pass midnight!

On Father's day we went to the wineries with Bob's family. The kids did pretty well there. It was hot but we had great tables in the shade and had a great afternoon.

Here is Lucas. We gave him a buzz cut. Isn't he so handsome!

This was an attempt of a picture of Bob with the kids, but the lighting was no so great and neither kid wanted their picture taken at the time.

We went to dinner Sunday night at one of Bob's favorite restaurants...Growlers. Here is Lucas in his sunglasses (again, isn't he so handsome).

The kids loved playing by the fountain. They wanted to get in.

Enjoying our deck.

Since we don't have much of a backyard we have tried to make our large deck a fun place for the kids to play. It is great to take them out there because they can't really run off! We have a basketball hoop (it adjusts as they get older), a table for the kids, a slide and also a play kitchen/bbq grill. Here are a few pictures from last night. It was actually not too hot for a change!

Quick trip to Chicago.

I made a very quick trip up to Chicago this past weekend. I was only there for a short 24 hours but it was well worth it because I got to meet Hendrix. Marina and Corey had their first baby. Hendrix David was born on May 22nd weighing 7 lbs 4 oz. So when I saw him this weekend he was a little over 2 weeks old and still so little. Marina and Corey are adjusting so well and are going to be great parents. Hendrix is as cute as they come and you can see below for proof of that...

Before I was about to head back home, I had a chance to meet up with Becky and Cort and Venessa and Jimmy and their girls. They will both be joining the 2 kids club soon as they are both pregnant (and both with boys).
Here is Mia (Becky and Cort's daughter)

Erica...Venessa and Jimmy's daughter

I promise to take some pictures of MY kids this week and post soon.

5 great years!

Bob and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary on Saturday. We sure have come along way in the past 5 years and we feel so blessed to have each other and our 2 beautiful kids and everything else in our lives (family, friends, jobs, house, etc).
We had an amazing date to celebrate our anniversary. Bob's parents were kind enough to watch the kids for us and keep them overnight (thanks). We started off by going shopping (can you believe that). We went shopping (just the 2 of us, no strollers) and I got a new dress and Bob got a shirt and pants (that he also needed for work). We came home and got ready and then went to a wine bar in the city for a glass of wine. We then went to dinner at Simply Fondue (which was amazing). We finished off the night by going bowling (after changing of course). It was a great night!
The happy couple!!!

Me in my new dress (I was weird and really loved the pockets).

On Sunday we went over to our friend Tre and Julie's and went swimming and had a bbq. Before we left for the night, we got all 4 kids in the bathtub!!!

Brendan's 3rd b-day party!

On Saturday we celebrated our nephew Brendan's 3rd b-day at a party at McDonalds. I must say...it was a great time and a big hit especially for the kids.
Lucas wanting the camera.

My niece Katy (she is almost 8 months old) enjoying her first taste of ice cream cake.

My niece Molly giving a great big smile for the camera as always.

Addison was sure to finish every last bite of her cake.

And here is the birthday boy Brendan!
