Family trip to the pumpkin patch.

It was actually one of the first days where it really felt like fall here in St. Louis. The high was in the low 60's on Saturday and when we went to the pumpkin patch it was chilly. We picked out some great pumpkins and just had a nice family day. We are really looking forward to Halloween this year!

Our attempt at a family picture. Of course neither of the kids is looking at the camera.

Getting ready to search for the perfect pumpkins.

Hey, at least Addison is smiling and Lucas is looking in the direction of the camera.

She insisted she was being very careful.

Lucas could have played with the pumpkins all day.

But, he did take a break to swing a little.

Checking out the big tractor.

And the really cool tunnel.

Avery turns 2!

I made another quick trip up to Chicago this past weekend for my nephew Avery's 2nd birthday party. Bob stayed home with Lucas and worked on a home project and Addison went with me and my parents to Chicago.

Wow, Avery is 2. He really enjoyed his Handy Manny birthday party and Addison had a great time too. She helped him open up his gifts and played with his new toys!

While we were in town, we went to dinner with Marina and Hendrix. We sure have come along way since the 4th grade!

Lucas is 18 months old!!! I took the kids to the playground today and had a picnic before his doctor appointment. The kids were so good at the playground and even at the doctors office. Lucas weighs 24 lbs 12 oz (25th-50th percentile) and 33 inches long (75th percentile). He is just like Addison has always been, kind of small and also tall.

Playgroup

I am thankful for being apart of a playground that gets together about twice per month (1st and 3rd Monday of the month). It is only a few of us mom's but we always have a great time and the kids get along really well. Today we went to downtown Kirkwood to a fall market/pumpkin patch. There was a great playground there that the kids all loved. Here are some pictures from the fun day, again in the low 80's in October.

Such big girls.

Yes, even Lucas climbed up and went down the slides.

Becky did it again!

Becky (one of my best friends) did it again. She took amazing pictures of the kids. Can you believe she took these in her garage on a rainy day with a blanket as the background. She sure has some talent.

It was not easy to get one of them together....

Katy's 1st Birthday.

It was a BEAUTIFUL October weekend in St. Louis. It was sunny the entire weekend with highs in the upper 70's and low 80's...just perfect. We took advantage and spent as much time outside as possible since we know the cold is coming very soon. Saturday was another busy day for us. It was our niece Katy's 1st birthday. The party was at a beautiful park/playground near Bill and Linda's house. Everyone had a great time and the kids really enjoyed the playground (and the cake). Katy had a great time too. We then basically skipped the kids nap (other than a quick car ride nap for Lucas) and went to another birthday party for my cousin Toby's twin (Calle and Brock...they turned 1 also). The weekend was busy, but great!

Addison looking up from her cake for a second so that I could take a quick picture. The girl loves her cake.

Bob and Lucas sharing cake.

The happy birthday girl!!!

All the older kids loved to help with the gifts.

Taking a taste of her cake.

Check out this playground. The kids were in heaven and this was only a 3rd of the playground. The other part (for the older kids) was basically a big castle playground and Addison just loved it. Too bad this playground is about 40 minutes from our house or else we would be going there all the time.

Lucas loved this slide (he loves going down all slides) and his new thing is to go on his tummy.
