Lucas' birthday party.

Lucas' birthday party was a success. We had 15 kids age 5 and under at our house and are so thankful the rain stopped and stayed nice and dry during the party and we were able to use our big deck. Mickey Mouse was the theme and we did things easy this time and got a bunch of pizza (so much less work). Lucas had a great time and we are thrilled it went so well.

Some of the decorations....

The favor bags I made.

The kids enjoying the pizza and juice boxes.

He loved his Mickey cake.

The presents.

He had so many helpers.

Swim Class.

Addison just started taking swim lessons for the first time. We tried dance class and that was kind of a bust. She loved it, but she wanted to dance more on her own instead of listening to the instructor. She took gymnastics for a couple months and that went well but I just thought it was time to change things up. With summer approaching we thought it was time to start with swim lessons. Her first class was last week and it went great. Addison was the most talkative kid and wanted so bad to stay and play and keep swimming but she really did great.
Here are a few pictures from the first class.

Happy Birthday Lucas!

Lucas is 2! We celebrated his birthday by taking the kids to Monkey Joes with my parents. As always, the kids had a great time. The next day was his doctor appointment. His starts were about what I thought they would be but I was a little surprised he did not weigh a pound or two more, but he is staying right on his growth curve which is great - 35.5"......75th percentile and 26.6 lbs.....25th percentile.
Here are a few pictures from Monkey Joes.

Happy birthday to you.....

Busy Easter weekend.

We celebrated Easter with Bob's family on Saturday night. The kids LOVE to get together with their 4 cousins and now that the kids are getting older we can actually socialize as adults which is great!

Our 2009 Family Easter Picture

Lucas sharing a seat with his cousin Katy.

We tried to get a picture of all 6 kids.

On Sunday we headed to my cousin's house to celebrate with my family. Addison was all business during the Easter egg hunt.

And here is a cute picture of Lucas....he will be 2 in just ONE day.

To make the Easter weekend even more busy, we headed to the zoo on Saturday morning to take advantage of the nice day and also to celebrate Lucas' b-day a little early.
Lucas enjoying time with his Daddy.

We got to the zoo early and if you get there before 10am you can get into the children's zoo for free and we had an amazing time. The kids even did well in the petting zoo. I think Addison brushed every goat.

The kids sat on the frogs once we convinced them they were pretend frogs.

We ended the day with some messy and good ice cream cones.

Our almost 2 year old.

Love

They love each other. Of course they fight but they ultimately love each other. They miss each other if one is not around and they just have a great time playing together. This is a major bonus to having the kids pretty close together (they are 19.5 months apart). My heart melts often when I watch them together (ok, I guess I am having a sappy moment). Here are a few pictures of them together over the past week or so....

(Don't even ask about her outfit...she wanted to try on her swimming suit.)
