Easter (a little late).

I know Easter was just a week ago but after a very busy week, I feel like I can't even remember it. I know we had a great day and the kids loved their Easter baskets. It amazes me that last Easter I was very pregnant with Lucas and he was born 5 days later. I can't believe he is going to be 1 in just 2 weeks.
Here are a few pictures from the day.

Practicing potty training.

Finally Addison is getting a little bit interested in potty training. We are not going full force yet through because I want to wait until after we move and are a little settled in the new house. There is too much packing to do right now to spend all that time in the bathroom. She is doing well at practicing and has been going about once a day on her potty. Today she even went twice within a few hours and stayed dry and loved wearing her big girl underpants. Hopefully this is a sign that potty training won't be so bad in a few weeks. Oh, and Addison is also very interested in playing hide-and-seek. She does not totally get it yet though because we will start to look for her and she will say "I'm here!"
Lucas is really on the move and has because a great little walker. He also loves to crawl up the stairs and can crawl down the one stair to our garage. We didn't even teach him and he learned to turn around and go down the step safely.
We had a successful garage sale this past week and are thrilled with what we sold (and what we don't have to move to the next house).
Here are some pictures from over the weekend.

Marina's baby shower!

Other than moving in 2 weeks, not much is new with us except that Lucas is WALKING. He took his first steps a little over a week ago and he is improving and walking more and more each day. It was great because he took his first steps when Bob and I were both home to see it.
Over the weekend I took a quick trip up to Chicago with my Mom (Bob stayed home with the kids) for Marina's baby shower. The shower went really well and I am pretty sure Marina liked all the work that we put into it and all the details and decorations. Marina is due in May and is having a boy. I am thrilled for her!

While I was in Chicago I got to spend some much needed time with my nephew Avery (he is about a year and a half). He is so darn cute and I had so much fun playing with him!

Crazy St. Louis weather.

This past weekend was so beautiful. We had some family over on Saturday and had a chance to enjoy the swingset for a change. Then on Sunday it was even nicer out and Bob and I took the kids to the park. We couldn't believe it, but it was atleast 70 degrees out. It was so much fun being at the park and we even had a picnic (nice and healthy McDonalds). It was a beautiful weekend but Bob and I did finally start to pack, but we sure have a long way to go!
I promise you...he did enjoy the swing but I guess he was in a melow mood.

He really liked crawling up this hill.

Playing together on the slide.

Then this was the weather the very next day....a little snow!!!

So big!

Really, not much is new lately. We are just anxious for the weather to start getting nicer and to get outside. I am pretty sick of taking the kids to the mall play area for fun, but we have to get out of the house and do something. Lucas is fast approaching turning one in April. He now says dada, mama, and un oh. He also claps when you ask him to and puts his arms above his head when we ask how big Lucas is….”so big”. Addison of course is just great. She loves to jump up and down, pretend to go night-night, and sing songs. She is also obsessed with eating cereal and milk.

Oh, and we did get a house and are closing the last week in March. We still have our home inspection and want to make sure it goes well for us to finally get excited. Then we really need to start packing!!!
Here are some pictures from the past few weeks.

He loves to climb already.

Just look at that face and those dimples!

Come on Mom, you know I don't like my picture taken.

Her outfit might not match, but atleast she is smiling for the camera this time.

They are growing up too fast.

Before I start updating on the kids...we have some news. Our house is under contract and has been for a while now. We accepted an offer after just 6 days on the market. It happened so much sooner than we ever thought. We would normally be more excited if it was not for some costly and time consuming repairs we need to make on our house. Oh, and the fact that we don't have a new house yet and are closing on our house on March 28th. We have looked at atleast 20 houses. We'll see what happens and will update when we have more good news to share.
Lucas is growing up so fast. We think he will be walking on his own pretty soon. In the mean time, he is practicing a lot and it is so much fun. He is almost 10 months old.

Doesn't Addison look like such a big girl. I am not sure if it is because she has my boots on, but she is just acting older and getting so big. We are all anxious for the summer and I can't wait to get out of the house with my kids. I took them to the park on Saturday since it was pretty nice out. I just can't wait to do so much with them and watch them have so much fun toghether.

FOR SALE.

Wish us luck. Our house is now officially on the market (the not-so-good market). We hope it sells soon and then we can move to a bigger house!
