They love each other.

We could not be more happy with how much Addison has taken to Lucas. She just loves him and we have had no jealously issues yet. Lucas even smiles at her sometimes!!!

Memorial weekend- Addison

On Memorial Day we took the kids to a nearby park and she played on the playground and the water park and just loved it.

Addison has been learning her shapes. She knows circle, square, oval, diamond and star. We are working on colors and she will point at cars and say "Mommy...blue car" but will say that to every color car. I am sure she will learn soon enough.

Memorial weekend- Lucas

Lucas has been doing so great. He is now 6 weeks old and has been smiling a lot more and we just love it. He has had some nights where he is sleeping VERY well and getting up around 3am and then around 7am. He also has been a lot less fussy than he had been in the first 5 weeks or so. He just all around seems to be so much happier. Here are a few pictures from this past week.

Lucas is about 5 weeks old in this picture. He is starting to enjoy tummy time a little more and loves it more if he is relaxing on his boppy. He is getting so much stronger with trying to hold his head up. We got a prescription from his dr. to help with the acid reflux. So far things seem to be getting better so we will see. Of course he decided to welcome me back home by waking up to eat every 2.5-3 hours last night! He must have missed me.

Baby showers!

I went to Chicago this past weekend to attend and host 2 of my best friends baby showers. Venessa is due with a girl on July 20th and Kris is due with a boy on June 29th. Both showers went great and the mom's-to-be are glowing. Bob stayed home with Addison and Lucas and ran the show all by himself....isn't he a great dad. I missed the kids so much and felt awful for leaving Lucas when he was only 5 weeks old but my friends mean the world to me and I could not miss their baby showers.

We love to play outside.

All is well with us. Addison has really been loving all this nice weather and playing outside. We got out the sprinkler on Saturday and she loved it! She is just so happy. Her new obsession is airplanes and we are practicing counting and sometimes she can count to 6 with a little help.

Lucas is doing so well. He turned one month old on Sunday and we can't believe it. He is so alert and is getting strong with trying to hold his head up. I took him for his one month doctor appointment today. He is now 8 lbs 12 oz. and is in the 25th percentile. He is in the 50th percentile for height. He may be having some acid reflux issues and his dr. is going to try some medicine on him and see if that will help.

Well it did not take long for Addison to really love her little brother. She kisses him so much and was thrilled when we let her hold him for the first time. She even tells him that she loves him. It is so cute cause she calls him Baby Loukie!

Lucas' first bath and some new pics!

Here are a few new pictures of the kids. Lucas enjoyed his first bath and only cried after it was over. He is getting bigger (I imagine he is atleast 8 lbs now). He is sleeping so well. Last night we fed him at 9pm and he did not wake up for his next feeding until 3:30 am (only if every night could be like that). Addison is doing so well. I love it cause she still naps about 3 hours every afternoon and sometimes I get them to nap at the same time.
