What a winter!

Many people have been experiencing a pretty mild winter this year and St. Louis is no exception. Here is a picture of the one decent snow fall we got this year...all 3 inches of it. It was all melted and gone about 24 hours later. At least the kids got out in it a bit...threw a few snow balls, ate a little snow, etc.

A pic with the world series trophy.

We recently had the opportunity to get our picture taken with the St. Louis Cardinals 2011 World Series Trophy when we were at a trivia night. It was far worth the $10 charge for this pic! The trivia night (at my aunt and uncles church) must have made a killing on this part of the fundraiser.

Maddox's first birthday party

The kids and I spent this past weekend in Chicago to celebrate my bff's son's 1st birthday (Maddox). Bob stayed behind to work on the laundry room project (I will share pics soon since it is almost done).
We had a great time with friends as usual. Marina did a great job with the Dr. Seuss themed party. It was a hit!
Here is a pic with Marina and Kris....my best friends!!!

And then a pic of 3 of our boys (minus the littlest boy Maddox).
Addison with her pal Mia.
The happy family celebrating Maddox's birthday!
The cute birthday boy!

Our next project.

This is a little embarrassing (or a lot embarrassing) to post a picture of our current laundry room. I never really cared about the laundry room until I finally realized how much potential it has and how nice it "could" look. We just kind of throw stuff in there and store some things but put zero effort into making the room look decent. It is right off our family room and easily seen by anyone that comes over.....but soon enough it is going to look beautiful. We started some renovations and it will be Bob's big project this coming weekend while the kids and I are away. New tile floors, paint, cabinets, wall unit, etc.
Stayed tuned.......

Addison's first school dance!

This past Friday night was an important one....it was Addison's first school dance. It was the sweetheart dance and Daddy was her special date. I can't describe enough how excited I was to prepare for this night. Addison talked and talked about the dance for weeks and we were all so excited. We picked out the perfect dress (or so we thought). She picked out Daddy's tie. I did her hair special, painted her nails and gave her a touch of makeup and then they were off.......
Well, I got a text from Bob 30 minutes into the dance with a request to bring Addison a new dress. Of course I had to save my little girl from her dress that was just too itchy. Once she changed dresses she was a happy girl and got back to the party. Bob said the night was great. They didn't do as much dancing as he thought they would. The kids seemed to enjoy running wild in the gym instead. Addison had a blast with 2 of her friends from her class. Bob got to know their dad's a little which was nice. They enjoyed a bunch of dessert, did the limbo (well Addison did) and stayed out nice and late. I am sure it was a night that Bob and Addison won't ever forget. :)
Ready to go to the dance.....
Getting her pretty corsage from Daddy.

It was starting to feel like homecoming pics like in high school but I HAD to!!!!

Practicing dancing!
and of course Lucas (and Louie) needed to get in on a pic.

Kindergarten

Addison recently celebrated her 100th day of school. I am still wrapping my brain around her even being in elementary school and now the school year is already half way over. She enjoys her school, loves her teacher and has made some great friends. She has learned so much since she started there and I can't wait for her to take off even more with reading, math, etc. It is so fun. She is so anxious for some upcoming events at school especially the Sweetheart dance where she will be bringing Bob as her date!!! :)
To make things even more crazy....today I registered Lucas for kindergarten for next fall. He will be joining his big sis up at the big kid school. I think he is excited for all the fun things he hears Addison talk about. He is not thrilled about the fact that there aren't toys in kindergarten but I know he is excited about the much bigger playground there and all the other perks. Hopefully kindergarten will be ready for our crazy boy in about 6 months!!!
