Lucas' 2 month appointment/Kris has her baby

No pictures this time (I am at work and don't have access to my pictures here) but I wanted to update everyone about Lucas' 2 month check up. He is actually 2 1/2 months old but his dr. was out of town for a few weeks on vacation. Well, Lucas is a big boy. He gained 4 lbs in the last 6 weeks!!! He now weighs 12 lbs 13 oz and he is 23 3/4 inches. He went from the 25th % in weight to the 50-75%. His doctor wants us to try Soy formula and see if that helps with his fussiness while eating and to rule out acid reflux. I sure hope it works. If not, then we may need to take him in for an Upper GI.

Some exciting news....my friend Kris had her first baby. Tyler James was born on Monday, June 25th. She had a pretty long labor and not too many complaints and only had to push for 20 minutes. Tyler is a big boy too...he is 9 pounds! Kris and Mike are so excited to be parents and I am so excited to share the life of motherhood with one of my closest friends.

Bob's birthday!

Bob is now 27 years old. Darn him for being 2 years younger than me. Bob and I had my parents babysit on Saturday night for a few hours and we went to a restaurant called Mango to celebrate his b-day. It is a Peruvian restaurant and we really enjoyed eating some different food and we really enjoyed a pitcher of sangria!
The kids are doing just great. Addison just loves her little brother more and more each day (see first 2 pictures below). She will now go up to him and give him a hug and on her own will say "I love you Lucas". She has been very interested in stickers and playing with playdough. I can't believe she is going to be 2 in a little over 2 months.
Lucas is just smiling so much and loves to talk to us. He is 10 weeks old now. He gets a big smile on his face when Addison tries to play with him. He is still being a fussy eater at times. His dr. wanted to have him go to the hospital and get an Upper GI to determine if he really has acid reflux and if he does, then we can talk about new medication. Bob and I decided we really did not want to do that yet. First of all, we don't think it is acid reflux and second we just want to try some other options first. So, we switched him to some new formula (Enfamil AR) and are going to see how that goes. I am taking Lucas for his 2 month check up tomorrow. (He is going 2 weeks late cause his dr. has been out of town.) So I plan on talking to his dr. more about this tomorrow. Check out the picture below of Lucas and his very cute dimples!!!

Went back to work/Father's Day

A lot has been going on. First of all I went back to work last week on June 11th. I work 3 days a week so it is not too bad being back at work. Atleast the kids are watched by my Mom so it is not so hard to leave them. Lucas is doing well except for his acid reflux. It is really acting up. Our doctor advised us to try and put rice cereal in his bottle and we will see if that helps. If not, then we have to try a new medication. The poor guy is just so frustrated and fussy when we try and feed him. Atleast he is smiling so much and showing off his dimples (see picture below). Addison is doing great despite her waking up a lot at night crying. We don't know why she is doing it but hopefully it is just a phase.
We had a busy weekend. Friday I had a playdate at my house during the day. There were 5 moms and 8 kids. It went really well and the kids had a lot of fun! My brother and his son Avery and fiance Nicole were in town so we got to spend some time with them. I took Addison swimming. She is a little scared of the water but hopefully will come around soon. Saturday we went to out nephews (Tyson's) 4th b-day party at a pool (see pictures below). It was so hot that day (about 97 degrees). We then went to my cousin's graduation party. Sunday we celebrated Father's Day. Bob went to the driving range for awhile and I picked up some lunch for us and gave him a few gifts. We then went to dinner at Bob's parents house. So, it was a long weekend but we had a lot of fun!

I took the kids to the zoo on Saturday with some of Bob's family. It was a beautiful day and Addison really enjoyed herself. After the zoo we went to Bob's brothers house for a BBQ. Below is a picture of Addison and her cousin Molly. Also is a cute picture of Lucas and FINALLY a picture of the 4 of us. It is not a great picture since Addison was not in the best of moods, but oh well.
Lucas is doing great. He is getting big. He is already growing out of some of his 0-3 months clothes and he is only 8 weeks old. Addison is doing great but we can tell that she is going to be 2 soon (on Sept. 2nd) since she can be more demanding and emotional. She is trying so hard to count. Today she counted 1-2-3-4-9-6-7-8-9-10-11-12-13 (it was a good try huh).

We have been married 4 years.

Bob and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary on Thursday, May 31st. We went to a nice dinner at the Melting Pot and Bob's parents watched the kids over night. Bob then took the day off on Friday and we took the kids to Grants Farm and Addison had a great time and Lucas was a great little baby and slept in the stroller. Friday night we went to dinner with Bob's family to celebrate his parents 30 year anniversary (we all got babysitters and enjoyed an evening with no kids for a change). So, it was a weekend of Anniversarys. Lucas is now 7 weeks old. He is smiling so much and doing well. He is not improving with his sleep at night between feedings as he still wakes up around 2am and 5am. Addison is doing great. She is just such a happy girl and loves her swing set. She can climb into her baby swing by herself and can swing on the "big girl" swing by herself. She can also walk UP the slide by herself. These days it is all about doing things on her own!!! Here are some pictures of the kids from the past week. Isn't Lucas getting so big!
