A fun trip to Chicago.

We always have such a fun time when we go up to Chicago. We miss the city and our friends and family so much. Our last trip was in July and we made sure to fit in as much fun as possible.

A bunch of us went to the zoo and we had a great time!

Addison and Mia...such good friends just like me and her Mommy!

Marina, me and Becky...we have been friends for so long!

While in Chicago, we walked around Lincoln Park and came across this new art structure. It was fun to take some unique pictures. The kids had a great time climbing on it!

Hendrix, Lucas and Addison

A unique family picture.

This is our favorite view of the city and it was fun to get a family picture here.

Me and my bff!

Me and my family all attended Amanda Laskey's wedding (a family friend) and were able to get a very rare family picture with my brother and parents.

While in Chicago, we went back to our favorite diner downtown near our old place in Old Town. Here is a picture of Addison at Nookies which is the first restaurant we took her to when she was just days old.

When we first got in town, we met Nicole, Avery and Emery at the playground. I think this is the first picture of the 4 kids together.

Me and Emery!!!

A happy Bob and Addison!

4th of July 2010

As usual, we had a great 4th of July. We spent the first part of the weekend at the lake with my parents.
Me and the kids tubing!

Nana and the kids.....going to see fireworks from the boat.

They loved the fireworks and then decided to both pass out on me on the boat!!!

We ended the holiday weekend with our annual cul-de-sac 4th of july bbq.

Happy 4th of July 2010!

Lake time!

I don't think we could love going to the lake as much as we do. We are so thankful for my parents lake house. It is only an hour drive, we can bring friends with us, and we are just making so many memories there. The kids really enjoy boating, swimming and tubing. Not only have they gotten more comfortable in the lake and on the boat but also at the swimming pool. Addison is doing some swimming on her own. She loves to jump in the water and then swim to the side. Lucas also tries to do it a little but likes me to catch him. We have had the best summer going to the lake and going to the pool as much as possible!
Here are some of my favorite pictures taken on the boat this year.

Bob's finally 30!!!

It seemed like it took forever but my 2 year younger than me husband FINALLY turned 30. I thought this day was never going to come and that he was going to stay in his 20s forever.
We celebrated outside in our cul-de-sac with friends and family (and a keg of Bob's favorite beer - Schlafly Kolsch). Bob had a great time despite being tired from the century ride that morning.

Addison and Lucas were excited to be at the adult only party.

Tre and Julie

Trying to remain young by attempting to do a keg stand from a beer tap with CO2. It went up his nose instead!

Bob's triathlon and century ride

Bob did something really amazing on his 30th birthday back in June. He rode in the Ronald McDonald Charity century ride (100 miles). He raised $1,200!!! I am sure it will be a day and an event he will never forget. To make it more interesting, his team and other riders got off course and he rode an extra 10 miles - as if 100 was not enough.

Bob with his team (he is on the far left).
It was a hot day but we made sure to see him finish!

Earlier this summer Bob began competing in triathlons. His first one of the year was at Carlyle Lake. It was unusually hot for that time of the year....Bob says the run was brutal! He did well though and finished 3rd in his age group!

All done!

Almost done...

Addison's first dance recital

Addison's first dance recital was back in May. She loved every single second of being on stage....just loved it. The dance was to the song "Singing in the rain." She did so well and doesn't she look so pretty......

Pam and Ryan's Wedding

Finally I am getting back to our blog. I need to stop staying away from it for weeks and weeks and just keep it updated. So, I have to go back to May and work forward through the fun summer we have had.
A huge event in May....Pam and Ryan's wedding. It was a beautiful day, a lovely wedding ceremony and an incredibly fun wedding (especially the dancing). Pam and Ryan are a great couple and I was so happy to be part of their day. I love you guys.
Here are just a few pics from the wedding day...
